Heading for a much needed three day break at Wallaroo we took a couple of detours off the main road. We came across two interesting ruins. The first, at Port Arthur, was the former Yararoo Station woolshed. It was reputedly once used as a 'prison' where local indigenous people were held - and then shot.
The second ruin has a less dark history. It was a former one room school at Green's Plains. It was used from 1878 until 1956.
