It's the end of summer and we are in the midst of a drought. I thought I would take a walk through the Barker Inlet Wetland on the northern outskirts of Adelaide to see what impact the weather was having. There was still some water in those areas that were dammed but elsewhere the ground was dry. A bird-hide was falling into disrepair, the views through it's viewing slits showing nothing but dry ground.
