At the end of October we took a trip to visit friends in Melbourne, Sydney and Canberra. Rather than fly or drive we decided to travel to these cities by train - 11 hours to Melbourne, 12 hours to Sydney and then 4 hours to Canberra. Although we had a restricted window view I took many images along the way.
Mindful of shooting through glass, from a fast moving train, I set my shutter speed to 1/2000 sec, aperture at 5.6 manually focused at about 30 metres, and let the iso fall where it may. Then it was up to anticipating a shot and trying to time it. In the end luck probably paid the major part in those worth keeping and publishing.
